The Long Beach Island Chapter of Pax Christi is pleased to present a Peace Flag to churches, schools and community organizations on Long Island. The flag may be presented in conjunction with a peace Mass or appropriate prayer service. Take advantage of this opportunity at no cost. Churches displaying the peace flag have found it a moving way to witness to peace. Those who have conducted a peace Mass have been applauded by their parisioners.

"War destroys. And we must cry out for peace.
Peace sometimes gives the idea of stillness, but it is never stillness.
It is always an active peace.
I think that everyone must be committed in the matter of peace,
to do everything that they can,
what I can do from here.
Peace is the language we must speak."
Pope Francis
